Hi, My name is Elizabeth (Elle).  I am the owner, designer, maker and shipper behind elle & belle jewelry since 2012. After studying jewelry design; my daughter, Lorraine, originally founded 'elle & belle' in 2006. She named the line after me and her grandmother, Isabel. My mother loved and collected jewelry so it is fitting that Lo paid tribute to her grandmother in this way.

Inspired by the strength and courage of the children and the compassionate staff at the Hospital for Sick Children near her workplace, Lo started a Hearts for Sick Kids campaign as part of 'elle & belle', donating $5.00 each from her best selling necklace to SickKids Foundation in Toronto, Canada. In 2012, before Lo moved to New York to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she taught me how to make her signature heart necklaces and I have since put my own spin on the elle & belle collection with 'elle & belle jewelry'.

I have dabbled in other creative endeavors including: pottery making, sewing my own clothes and nursery room decor, knitting sweaters for self and family and now love the proud satisfaction that comes from being an artisan of handmade jewelry. Basically self-taught, but inspired by Lo, I have taken some beading and metal work classes and experimented with a number of mediums. I  believe in providing excellent customer service and strive to create jewelry that I am proud to wear myself and hope that anyone wearing my pieces feels happy and special.

The Hospital for Sick Children provides outstanding paediatric care, research and education needed to assist children around the world. We thank all of you who have purchased our heart necklaces and made our donations possible.

When a customer gives a gift from elle & belle jewelry they are supporting a small business and receiving a unique item handmade with heart.
